A High Lofted Shot, the Pitch Shot travels farther in the air than on the ground.

p1ADDRESS

  • Full swing Grip
  • Square to slightly open stance (heels 6-8 inches apart)
  • Ball position is 1 to 2 inches inside the left heel
  • Hands are positioned in mid-body

p2BACKSWING

  • Arms swing while wrist hinge
  • Left arm and shaft form an “L”
  • Shaft is on plane by pointing at the target line or slightly inside the target line

p3IMPACT

  • Arms swing while maintaining wrist angle body, turns thru
  • Hands stay ahead of the clubhead, shaft is leaning forward at impact (ball then turf)
  • Flat left wrist, bent right

p4FINISH

  • Arms swing while “L” is formed
  • Body faces the target at finish
  • Shaft is on plane by pointing at the target line or slightly inside the target line

Gale, thank you talking with me yesterday. I called Rick McCord and talked to Jason his assitant. Jason told me that they teach
different things there. Such as “move everything including the lower body as I go back”, exactly what you and I discussed as the fault for a reverse pivot. This is why I am struggling on who to spend money on. Since I have been starting the takeaway with arms and shoulders and restricting the lower body a little, I have been hitting much more compressed shots. Your philosophy.

I like the straight forward way that you describe the various parts of building the golf game.
